Marcus Geist, Spatial Data Problem Solver
Geospatial data is often a critical component to inform decisions. Over the past 25 years, I have used Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for private companies, universities, state and federal governments, as well as in the non-profit sector.
Having established a strong working rapport with staff from state, federal, and municipal and tribal groups, I specialize in combining data spanning multiple sources and administrative jurisdictions. I have served as the president of the Alaska Arc User Group and remain active in the geospatial community through presentations and partnering on projects.
Additionally, I have assisted with multi-day field collections on numerous projects throughout Alaska with each of my previous employers. I am equally comfortable wading through cold streams as I am wading through data on computer screens.
